Typically, engineered wood flooring uses a thin layer of a more expensive wood (shown on point A) bonded to a core constructed from cheaper wood (shown on point B). This flooring is built for maximum durability and can be installed in more areas of the home vs solid hardwood.

Solid hardwood floors are made of planks milled from a single piece of timber (shown on point C). is a reliable flooring choice for the long-term homeowner.
